Datenschutz. In Riesa.

The City of Riesa sees protecting your personal data as a particularly important priority. This is the reason why we have taken technical and organisational measures to guarantee that the laws on data protection are complied with.

The Legal Foundations

The City of Riesa has an administrative portal, commonly known as www.riesa.de with a
phone service, which means that this portal is governed by the provisions of Telemediengesetz (German Telemedia Law). Furthermore, the law on self-determination over the use of one’s personal data is applied in the Free State of Saxony, otherwise known as the Sächsisches Datenschutzgesetz (Saxon Data Protection Act).

Automatic Data Recording

You can use the service portal without giving your personal data. Personal data are specific information on the personal or material situation of a specific or identifiable physical person. In other words, these are data associated with your name or that can be used to directly trace a specific reference. The following data are stored when accessing the portal for the purpose of a security check or statistical evaluations:

  • the IP address of the host using it
  • the time and date of the request
  • the client software of the computer requesting (normally the browser model and desired method/function of access)
  • the entries transmitted (such as search terms)
  • the access status of the web server (such as file transmitted, file not found or command not carried out) and the name of the file requested

Some of the data recorded are deleted after evaluation or security check.

Entering Personal Data

You can only use the contact form, order form and other on-line services (excluding the entries in the electronic guestbook) by entering in your personal data to perform the services requested. All personal data are only recorded and stored for the specific purpose and they are not made available to third parties in any event.

Contact Form

There is a contact form available in which you can enter in your name, email address,
reference and a message. Sending messages via contact form is not automatically encoded which means that third parties might be able to read the message without this encoding.

Preserving Data Secrecy

The employees of the City of Riesa entrusted with processing personal data as well as the
employees of the companies contracted by the City of Riesa are obliged to maintain data
secrecy. We have taken technical and organisational measures to ensure that external service suppliers comply with the laws on data protection.

Active Components

This portal uses some ActiveX-Controls and Javascript, although deactivating Javascript in
the browser does not restrict the usability of this application. Furthermore, this website uses Google Analytics, a web analysis service from Google Inc. that uses cookies that are
transmitted to and stored on a server of Google in the United States. You can prevent cookies being installed by adjusting your browser software. In any event, by using this website, you declare that you accept Google processing the data surveyed on you.

External Links

The websites of our administrative portal contain links (branches) to other homepages that
can be identified with certain symbols and normally with the internet address explicitly
written out. Launching external links opens a new browser window assuming the user has
activated JavaScript. The City of Riesa shall not assume any responsibility for the content of other homepages that can be accessed via links from the administrative portal. We only briefly check and evaluate these links when connecting them up and we neither intend to continually examine them for their content, nor do we have the resources.

Please Remember

Your message to us via email is not automatically encoded which means that third parties
might be able to read the message without this encoding. If you want a reply, we operate on the assumption that you also accept a reply by email that is also not encoded if your content does not indicate that our reply requires encoding.
