Our Riesa suburban railway has been dubbed „Steel Max“ and it has been operating a reliable timetable for six years. The train is serving our high street shopping district which is almost 2.5 kilometres long. The train commutes between Rathausplatz (the Town Hall Square) and the Riesenhügel (“the Giant Hill”) to make it easy for passengers to explore the city. Any passenger taking „Steel Max“ can also take local public transport routes at no charge.
A lot of people like to book the suburban railway for private occasions and tours of the city. The trains are big enough for 30 persons. It can easily be combined with other tourist attractions in Riesa such as taking a tour with the city guide, guided tours through the former convent – whatever you want.
