Welcome in Riesa.
Nature lovers and history enthusiasts will find a lot to write home
about here because you can find more than 55 local species right here
on the historical grounds of the convent. The juxtaposition of an
architectural monument, nature, animals and people has created a unique
environment that distinguishes the Animal Park from anything else of
its sort. The walls are the oldest convent grounds of the Meissen
County and they also house the Town Hall, a counsellors hall (just
perfect for smaller events) and a vaulted cellar that can be booked for
private celebrations and the like.
