He was born in the German state of Thuringia and he won the German Master title twice in 2008. He also proved he was among the best in the world by winning the silver medal in two-man bob at the world championships in Altenberg. Together with his team and trainer Gerd Leopold from Riesa, Flori is working towards the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver to realise his dream of winning a medal.
Diver Christin Steuer has been working for the Riesa Sport Club since 2003. Her greatest success of her career to date is her bronze medal at the world championships 2007 in the competition from the ten-meter tower. She also wore the colours of the Sport City of Riesa at the Olympic Games in Peking in the summer of 2008.

He has been the German Master in breast stroke several times, won the bronze medal with the German 4 x 100-meter position relay at Olympia 2000 in Sydney and even got a silver medal at Olympia 2004 in Athens. Unfortunately, injuries prevented him from going to the Olympic Games in Peking. After his career, Jens Kruppa wants to be active in politics and athletics in Riesa.
